Abu Bashar "Amr ben "Usman, of Baiza, a suburb of Shiraz, was one of the eminent Arabic grammarians, and his book, called "Alkitab", is the most comprehensive and celebrated treatise on Arabic grammar, and it has been translated into various languages and printed. His death is dated between 778 and 798 A.D. The grave of this eminent scholar is in the district of Sang-i-Siyah, and it has been decided that the Iranian Council for the Preservation of National Monuments should erect an sppropraite and impressive building.
